Adhiyamaan College of Engineering started its auspicious journey in the year 1987 under the initiative of the Adhiyamaan Educational & Research Institution - Trust. Since its inception, it has carved a holistic identity for itself as one of the premier engineering colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu.
It was formerly affiliated to the Madras University but came under the purview of the Anna University, Chennai from the year 2001 under the new directive issued by the state government. A comprehensive guidance on technical education is imparted to the students by an experienced team of professors and research staff.

FACTS
The institute offers three hostels to the students with full time residential accommodation and a range of premium facilities, which makes their lodging a comfortable experience. Admission to eligible candidates is offered both at undergraduate and post- graduate levels. The institute operates an active placement cell since the year 2000. Some of the top companies from India and abroad, visit the campus for conducting recruitment drives. The mission of the institute is to be one of the top engineering colleges of India by 2015 and various upgradation processes have been rolled out for the purpose.

The hostels have well equipped kitchens and dining halls for the convenience of the students. A modern and upgraded computer center assists the students in their laboratory and project works. The well-equipped library has a grand collection of books and is digitally run by the OPAC computing system. Students can participate in various games like cricket, football, badminton, chess and athletics as a part of the excellent recreation facilities.
