What is
My Network?
My Network is your
ready-to-use, comprehensive list of all the friends whom you meet at Batchmates. Its convenient and helps you reach out to your chosen friends instantly.
How do I view My Network?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- For first time users the lists shall appear empty. You can add friends to your network through the Advance search option.
- For members who have added buddies - The page will display the names of all buddies.
How do I Add A Buddy / grow my Network?
Provide your friend's name and the institution name in the Search option and click on Search button.
- Login using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- Provide your friend's name and the institution name in the Search option and click on Search button.
- Click on the name of the friend to view his/her Profile.
- Click on the "Add to Network" link/icon appearing beside the details of your friend.
- An automated mail will be sent to your friend requesting him/her to join your Network.
- Once your friend confirms by clicking on the link in the Invitation mail you will be intimated and he/she will be added to your Network. This mail will also carry a link whereby your friend can verify your details before he/she confirms your network invitation.
How many buddies can I add to my Network?
There is absolutely no limit! You can add any number of friends to your Network.
How do I delete a Buddy from my Network?
- Login using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- The list of Buddies will appear.
- To delete one or more Buddies - simply check the box beside the name of your buddy.
- Click on the "Delete" button below the list of Buddies.
- The Buddies deleted will receive an email notification informing them that they have been removed from your Network. Subsequently your name will no longer appear in your buddy's Network list also.
How do I know if I have been deleted from my friend's Network?
Your friend can remove you from his/her Network without your approval. You will however receive a mail, informing that you have been removed from your friend's Network.
How do I send a mail to a friend on my Network?
- Login using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- Check the box beside the friend you wish to send a mail to and then click on the 'Send Mail' option provided below.
- A compose mail page shall open, where you can key in your message in to text area provided.
- Add a subject to your mail you can also select from the Examples provided.
- Click on the "Send" Button to have your message forwarded to your Buddy.
How do I send mails to selective friends on my Network?
- Login using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- Your friend's list shall appear.
- Check the box against the name of the buddies to whom you wish to send a message.
- Click on the "Send Mail" option below the list of your buddies.
- Type out your message in the Text area provided and add a subject line to your mail.
- Click on the "Send" Button to have your message forwarded to your buddies.
How do I
send a mail to all my friends on my Network at once?
- Login using your Email /Unique Id & Password.
- Click on the "My Network" tab on the top panel. The page provides you four categories to segregate your friends. View All | Friends | Best Friends | Batchmates.
- Your friend's list shall appear.
- Check the box that appears before Name on the top of the table to select all your friends.
- Click on the "Send Email" below the list of your buddies.
- Type out your message in the Text area provided and add a subject line to your mail.
- Click on the "Send" Button to have your message forwarded to all your Buddies.
Can others view my Network?
Yes they can. Once anyone visits your profile they will be able to view all the people in your friend's list if they click on the 'View Friends' link on the right hand corner of your Profile page.
How do I know which of my friends are online now?
- Login to Batchmates using your Email/Unique Id and password.
- Click on the “My Network” tab on the top panel.
- Check for the “Online Friends” tab in the page. Click on that.
- If any of your friends are online, this page should show you their names along with links to communicate with them.
